1 Skirt 2 Ways

Happy New Year! The perfect way to start off the new year is making sure to have basic pieces in your wardrobe to mix and match. A black pencil skirt is classy and simple, and will never go out of style. I tend to always pair it with a top that has black accents and can be tucked in to look like a dress. For my first look I paired a vintage "King's Road" top with my go to black pencil skirt from Bebe. The top originally came with shoulder pads, which I removed since they looked a little funny. I finished off the outfit with my new favorite boots from Charles David, which were thrifted. You really never know what you'll find!

For my second look, I went for a classic black on black look with a little mint pattern. My shoes are definitely my favorite part of the outfit. Something about pointy heels makes me feel professional and grown up. I decided to put my hair up for this look because the collar and print are the main focus of the outfit.
