What I Use to Achieve Soft Curls

Usually I love to leave my hair wavy and use Argan Oil to style it because using a flat iron or a curling iron would be too time consuming and I would not achieve the look I wanted. However, I recently found a Flat Iron/Curling Wand all in one that gives me the result I want without damaging my hair. I used the curling wand to add some volume to my hair. What I love about the wand is that it does not burn your hair and leaves it shinier than it was before. The flat iron has ceramic plates and vibrates when it straightens/curls your hair. This allows it to distribute the heat evenly throughout the hair and leaves it looking shiny and healthy. What I also love about this product is that it does not leave the hair looking pin straight and unnatural. It leaves it with a slight wave and it makes the hair feel soft. Here are a few pictures of my hair from this week after using the flat iron/curling wand :)

I recommend using this product for a natural curl as well as to achieve straight hair that is shiny and healthy looking. I am not easily sold on hair styling products and this one impressed me. I look forward to trying out different looks with it in the near future!

Lady in Lavender

I went to Vegas recently and brought my favorite dress along for the trip. The lavender dress I brought is my favorite because of the details of the dress, how it's form fitting, and of course, the color. I like how it's slightly different than a typical bandage dress. For a little cover up, I added a blush colored shawl. Lavender and blush are a gorgeous combination and are perfect summer colors. I love the elegance the shawl adds to the whole look. I finished the look with my go-to evening heels, my navy blue Steve Madden pumps :)

Vintage Finds!

Today I came across some colorful vintage pieces and I am so excited to add them to my summer wardrobe. I love the yellow and royal blue combo for summer since both colors are very flattering for olive skin tones. The yellow crop top is knitted and the material is lightweight. The pants are my favorite part of this outfit. I have never tried printed jogger pants before but I knew right away that they would go perfectly with the yellow crop top and pretty much with any color crop top. I finished the look with navy blue heels to elongate my legs and make the outfit look more put together. I could also see myself styling this outfit with sandals for a day at the beach :)

Vintage Inspired Teal #OOTD

Summer is all about trying out bold colors and finding what works best with your style. I have always been a fan of vintage inspired dresses. I love the "Audrey Hepburn" look and always seem to gravitate towards dresses that are classy, elegant, and colorful. This dress is one of my favorites in my wardrobe because it's the perfect length-not too short, not too long, the color is gorgeous and looks amazing with any skin tone, and you can always mix and match different colored heels with it. I've worn this dress with orange heels, neutral heels, navy heels, it goes with so many colors. I love the floral details of the dress and that it cinches at the waist, making it figure flattering especially for petite girls. I paired the dress with my favorite neutral colored heels. I got these heels in Florence, Italy 3 summers ago and they are my go-to summer heels!

Don't be afraid to add a little color to your wardrobe. Take this from someone who LOVES wearing all black! It's summertime and it's time to whip out the bright colors. Adding a few timeless pieces that are colorful will make a world of difference in your wardrobe. It definitely has for me.

Fourth of July #OOTD

Two summers ago I found this beautiful dress at Topshop in Chicago. It immediately caught my eye because of the design at the top part of the dress as well as how flowy and elegant it was. I knew that it would come in handy for a special occasion. I was cleaning out my closet this past week and found that I had never worn it…until now! Tomorrow is the Fourth of July and every year I usually pick either red, white, or blue, and make that color the theme for my whole outfit. This year I chose white. This dress would definitely work for petite girls if worn with heels that are at least 3 inches tall. The great thing about wearing all white is that you can wear any colored heels and lipsticks and it will all match :)
